I spent quite a lot of time trying to find the dress that Jess/Zooey wore in Episode 2 - Kryptonite. Unfortunately, it is sold out at ever website I found it on :(
I hate it when dresses I really love go out of stock, but i’m going to keep my eyes peeled for when they bring this awesome red dress back. I think I’m a sucker for wraparounds! [Much like this cobalt ruffle dress]
But anyways, it is currently out of stock at ASOS ($227.25) and at ShopBop ($142.50). A good alternative to this dress could be the Red-y for Inspiration dress from Modcloth ($49.99).
2. My favorite Cobalt flats are back in action. Jess wore these or similar shoes with a lot of her other ensembles. I love them, I might get them in a couple of colors soon - you can buy them at Nordstrom for $44.95.

If you have been watching and rewatching episodes of New Girl, like I have, you must have noticed that Jess/Zooey has a to-die-for pajama collection :D
1. Parrot pajamas? Of course I’m interested. What else can say I’m quirky like that than some offbeat pajamas? And they make a great holiday present too. You can buy them @ Be Head PJs for $136. Jess wore this in Episode 4 - Naked.
2. Embroidered Hearts pajamas are also from Bed Head, but can be bought here for $158.
Jess did wear a bunch of other really awesome PJs, but I’m yet to find a place to buy them from. Will update this post once I do. Happy New Girl watching, till then :)

New Girl - Episode 9 - The 23rd
I know I skipped a lot of episodes & dresses in between my first post & this one, but considering it’s the holiday season, this felt most appropriate.
I loved Jess’s holiday look for Schmidt’s sexy santa party & managed to track down most of the stuff she was wearing in the episode, so here goes :)
1) Her fun, glitzy, show-stealing dress was from modcloth. Zooey topped the dress off with a cute ribbon like red belt which is perfect for the holiday season :)
2) In true Zooey style, she wore a fuchsia coat, for which I found an alternative to, again at modcloth. You can find similar coats anywhere.
3) Zooey’s favorite footwear seem to be these cobalt colored flats that have made multiple appearances in different episodes. I was able to track down a similar pair at Zappos.
4) Shiny headbands are really not my thing, but Zooey totally pulls the look off with such great ease. I would probably replace the super shiny headband with a more subtle one that I found on Anthropologie (in ivory).
New Girl - Episode 1 - Pilot
This is one of my favorite dresses from the New Girl promos (apart from the lime green dress, which we will get to later :D). Jess wears this during the first few minutes of the episode as she explains to Nick, Schmidt & Coach about why she needs a new place to live in. (I <3 you, Winston, but I miss you, Coach)
After much searching, I realized that the dress was originally sold at Anthropologie, but is no longer available *sad face*. But it seems to be available on ebay, here. I’ll try to update this post once I’ve found other alternatives to this amazing dress :)
Since the day I started watching New Girl, I’ve been lusting after Zooey’s wardrobe. Looking at all those bold colors, feminine silhouettes and vintage styles made me want to figure out if I could recreate her style for myself. I thought it would be easy to figure out easy alternatives to all her clothes in the show, but man, is it difficult.
Anyways, so I’m hoping to do an episode by episode recap post as and when I find a match for what she wore and where you can shop for that or a similar look. This will maybe help my New Girl fashion obsession along the way. Stay tuned :)
